Nazlı is the daughter of a conservative Turkish father Kahraman, who is a famous baklava maker in Gaziantep. Her grandfather Memik Dede is a Greco-Turkish War veteran. Niko, whose parents are immigrants from Istanbul, is the son of a wealthy Greek ship owner Stavro. Nazlı and Niko meet in Bodrum, fall in love at first sight and decide to marry. The comedy starts when Niko goes to Gaziantep to ask for her father's agreement to the marriage. Historical enmity between the two nations makes it very hard, and both families oppose the marriage.

Yago is a 28 year old tough and rude young man raised in the jungle of north Argentina by his father who taught him how to survive in such a wild environment. Although he can read and write, Yago has given up on being educated. Morena is a Peruvian girl in her 20's who has studied in New York and is financially independent. Unfortunately, she's not so lucky in terms of love since she's always picked the wrong man. Morena travels as a tourist to the Iguaçu Falls in the middle of the jungle where she meets Yago. They have a love affair but their relationship doesn't work out because of their marked social and personal differences. She then flies to Buenos Aires to search for her grandfather and in the meantime she gets a job at company called Sireno. At the same time, Yago learns that the man who raised him is not his actual father and that his real family name is Sireno. He travels to Buenos Aires intending to trace back his real family only to find Morena once again. At the end Morena will help him get adapted to the city rules and new social behavior, and eventually they will fall helplessly in love.
The story follows two loners, the pragmatic Hachiman Hikigaya and beautiful Yukino Yukinoshita, who despite their varying personalities and ideals, offer help and advice to others as part of their school's Service Club, assisted by the cheerful and friendly Yui Yuigahama. It largely depicts various social situations faced by teens in a high school setting and the psychology driving their interactions.
Yakky Doodle (voiced by Jimmy Weldon to sound similar to Donald Duck) is an anthropomorphic duck who lives with his best friend Chopper the bulldog. Yakky is always one to run into danger when it's most expected. This usually comes in the form of the show's main antagonist Fibber Fox or secondary villain Alfy Gator. Chopper defends his "Little Buddy" fiercely, and is always ready to pound Fibber or any other enemy into oblivion if necessary. Yakky's tendency to put himself in great danger never draws a rebuke from Chopper, who presumably enjoys his protective role.
